“Tiger Sharks: Banks and Borders” is a film about the connectivity between habitats and the Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation researchers’ efforts to shed light on the relatively unknown movements of large marine predators. Using Smart Positioning or Temperature (SPOT) tags, CSSC researchers are able to follow shark movements in near real time. The data from this important study can be used in the future to more effectively manage these large migratory predators across national boundaries. Sharks are not a resource limited to just one nation and this short film attempts to communicate that fact by showcasing the work being done by the Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation.
